There are so many positives that individuals have experienced following the creation of their own 8-Week Personal Positive Plans; the list is endless and absolutely incredible!
From having a bath to creating a habit of a daily 60 second pause, joining the gym, buying colourful clothes to absolutely smashing the ‘out of our comfort zone’ intention and speaking on Radio 1!
Each completed intention is personal to the individual and makes such a difference to them personally and professionally.
However, there is one individual that I want to share with you in this blog because she is her own stand out success story.
An individual who was stepping out of her comfort zone by even attending the team session with me in the first place. A lady who had not only been finding her way through recent life challenges, but in the week leading up to our session was dealing with the news of the sudden death of a close friend. We can all appreciate that it would have been a valid reason for her not to join us, but she did and if you consider how she might have been feeling that day, you will also appreciate the positive impact these sessions have on so many.
I ran the 8WPPP session at 10am in the morning. By mid-afternoon on the same day, I received a message from her to say that the session was incredible and that she had gone home and completed a 5K run and 2,000 meters on the rower!
The momentum continued…exercise was back in her life on a regular basis. She’d de-cluttered some drawers (always a good feeling!), and then more de-cluttering had taken place to create an ‘at home’ gym. She was regularly walking and completed one of her random acts of kindness. Not only that she had stepped out of her comfort zone and ordered some new brightly coloured jumpers!
She quite openly told me “The night before the session, I thought ‘I can’t go’, but because I follow your work and love what you do, I was intrigued as to how it could support me, so I went.”
I asked her how she felt during the session, and she was honest and said “I felt nervous, as I was out of my comfort zone and with people I don’t know well. I had a fear of judgement, but you completely put me at ease when you started presenting and I took everything you said on board because it resonated with me, and it was time for me to think about me.”
She even acknowledged one of the thought-provoking images I use within the presentation that is reminding her to keep checking in with herself.
4 weeks later
“I’m currently stood in my kitchen wearing a pink jumper, having de-cluttered all my paperwork and completed my second random act of kindness today!”
My thoughts…
I know these sessions work! I have been carrying out my 8WPPP on myself for nearly 3 years and it makes such a difference to me and the balance and focus I want to continue to create in my own life.
My passion is to help people feel better in their ‘real life’ and if you feel an 8WPPP can help you do that please reach out.
My 8WPPP session is a standalone workplace, team, or individual offering and also part of my Inspire and Ignite Programme.
